What this site is

TekkenHistory answers the one question the in-game rank screen never does: where does your rank actually place you among everyone playing? Every Tekken 8 and Tekken 7 rank is mapped to the top percentile it represents, season by season, so a rank name becomes a number you can compare — against past seasons, against the other game, and against League of Legends and VALORANT.

Where the data comes from

Rank distributions are collected from publicly published Tekken player statistics and recorded with the date they were captured. Each snapshot keeps its own collection date, so one season's numbers are never quietly overwritten by a later one.

Percentiles between individually published ranks are interpolated, and any interpolated value is marked as an estimate on the page that shows it.

On accuracy

These are population statistics, not official figures. Bandai Namco does not publish a rank distribution, so every number here is derived from sampled public data and carries the sampling error that implies. Treat the percentiles as a well-sourced estimate, not a certified result.

Cross-game comparisons to League of Legends and VALORANT line up distributions, not skill — they say what share of players sits below you in each game, and nothing more.

Who runs it

TekkenHistory is built and maintained by one Tekken player as a personal project. It carries advertising only to cover hosting costs. Corrections and data submissions are genuinely welcome — the contact address is on the contact page.
