Tekken 1 (1994)
β Dawn of Patricide & The Original Cliff TossThrown off a cliff at age 5 by Heihachi, Kazuya awakens the Devil Gene to survive. Entering the 1st King of Iron Fist Tournament, he defeats his father and throws him off the same cliff.
Heihachi's Coup & 5-Year-Old Kazuya Cliff Toss
After overthrowing and starving his father Jinpachi beneath Hon-Maru, Heihachi tests 5-year-old Kazuya by tossing him into a deep ravine. Near death, Kazuya makes a pact with the devil within, awakening his dormant Devil Gene.

The 1st King of Iron Fist Tournament
Heihachi hosts the tournament with a massive cash prize to display Zaibatsu dominance. Martial artists worldwideβincluding Paul Phoenix, Marshall Law, Yoshimitsu, and Nina Williamsβgather, as an adult Kazuya returns for revenge.
Kazuya's Triumph & Reverse Cliff Toss
Father and son clash in the finals. Powered by his Devil strength, Kazuya brutally overpowers Heihachi. He drags Heihachi to the same cliff and hurls him off, taking the Zaibatsu throne with a sinister smile.
Tekken 2 (1995)
β Kazuya's Reign of Terror & The Volcano DropKazuya rules the Zaibatsu with ruthless bioweapon research and meets Jun Kazama. Heihachi climbs out of the ravine, defeats Devil Kazuya in the 2nd tournament, and drops him into an erupting volcano.
Illegal Bio-Experiments & Meeting Jun Kazama
Kazuya turns the Zaibatsu into a criminal syndicate, funding bioweapons like Roger and Alex. WWWC officer Jun Kazama investigates the animal smuggling and connects deeply with Kazuya, conceiving Jin Kazama.
Heihachi's Return & The 2nd Tournament
Heihachi crawls up the cliff through pure sheer will and trains in seclusion. Kazuya launches the 2nd tournament to eliminate his father permanently. Heihachi defeats adopted son Lee Chaolan and reaches Kazuya.
Defeating Devil Kazuya & The Volcano Drop
Kazuya transforms into Devil, but Heihachi's iron will triumphs. Ensuring Kazuya can never return, Heihachi flies a helicopter and dumps Kazuya's body into an active volcano crater. Jun retreats to the forests of Yakushima to raise baby Jin.
Tekken 3 (1997)
β God of War Ogre & Grandson Jin's BetrayalAfter losing Jun to the ancient God of War Ogre, Jin trains under grandfather Heihachi. When Jin destroys Ogre, Heihachi shoots him in the head to eliminate the Devil Gene, triggering Jin's Devil awakening.
Ogre's Awakening & Jun Kazama's Disappearance
15 years later, ancient war god Ogre awakens, absorbing legendary masters worldwide. Ogre attacks Yakushima; Jun sacrifices herself to save 15-year-old Jin, telling him to seek his grandfather Heihachi.
Heihachi Baits Ogre with Grandson Jin
Jin trains relentlessly under Heihachi. Secretly, Heihachi uses Jin's potent fighting spirit as bait to lure Ogre into the 3rd tournament. A new generationβHwoarang, Ling Xiaoyu, and Eddy Gordoβenters the arena.
True Ogre Defeated & Heihachi's Headshot Betrayal
Jin destroys True Ogre. Immediately, the Tekken Force surrounds Jin, and Heihachi personally shoots his grandson in the forehead. The mortal wound awakens Jin's Devil Gene; he slams Heihachi through the shrine wall and flies into the night with black wings.

Tekken 4 (2001)
β G Corp Revives Kazuya & Hon-Maru 3-Way BloodbathKazuya is resurrected by biotech giant G Corporation. Heihachi hosts the 4th tournament to harvest the Devil Gene, capturing Jin at Hon-Maru. Father, son, and grandson clash in a three-way battle for survival.
G Corp Revives Kazuya & Jin Abandons Mishima Karate
Biotech firm G Corporation recovers Kazuya's remains from the magma and regenerates him. Meanwhile, Jin despises everything Mishima, unlearning Mishima Karate in Australia and mastering Traditional Karate.
The Trap for Devil Genes & Jin's Ambush
Heihachi realizes he needs the Devil Gene to integrate Ogre's genome. Discovering Kazuya alive at G Corp, Heihachi stakes the entire Zaibatsu in the 4th tournament to lure both Kazuya and Jin, ambushing and chaining Jin at Hon-Maru.
Three-Way Clash at Hon-Maru & Jun's Apparition
At Hon-Maru, Kazuya tries to harvest Jin's Devil power. Jin breaks his chains and mercilessly beats both Kazuya and Heihachi. As Jin is about to deliver a killing blow to Heihachi, a glowing vision of Jun stops him. Jin spares him, saying 'Thank my mother, Jun Kazama,' and flies away.

Tekken 5 (2004)
β Hon-Maru Detonation & Jinpachi's UnleashingG Corp's Jack-4 suicide squad obliterates Hon-Maru, freeing founder Jinpachi Mishima who is possessed by a demonic spirit. Jin defeats his great-grandfather Jinpachi and claims leadership of the Mishima Zaibatsu.
Jack-4 Suicide Ambush & Heihachi's 'Death'
Immediately after Jin leaves, swarms of G Corp Jack-4 units breach Hon-Maru. Kazuya and Heihachi briefly fight back-to-back before Kazuya betrays his father, throwing Heihachi into the swarm and flying away. The Jacks detonate, leveling Hon-Maru.
Jinpachi's Resurrection & Cry for Salvation
The Hon-Maru explosion shatters the seal on Jinpachi Mishima, the Zaibatsu founder starved underground decades ago. Possessed by a malevolent spirit, Jinpachi hosts the 5th tournament to find someone strong enough to kill him before he destroys the world.
Jinpachi's Peace & Jin Claims the Zaibatsu Throne
Jin battles his demonic great-grandfather and strikes down Jinpachi, granting his ancestor a peaceful death. Winning the tournament, Jin takes the throne as the supreme head of the Mishima Zaibatsu.
Tekken 6 (2007)
β Jin's World War III & The Primordial Demon AzazelJin plunges the world into World War III as Zaibatsu head, while Kazuya seizes G Corp. Heihachi's illegitimate son Lars leads a rebel army, discovering Jin's true motive: summoning and destroying the ancient monster Azazel to erase the Devil Gene.
Zaibatsu Declares World War vs G Corp Resistance
As supreme leader, Jin launches a global war using the Tekken Force. Kazuya purges G Corp's board and takes full control, masquerading as the world's savior and putting a massive bounty on Jin's head.
Lars Alexandersson & Alisa Lead the Rebellion
Tekken Force captain Lars Alexandersson (Heihachi's secret son) rebels against Jin's atrocities, forming the independent army Yggdrasil. Alongside android Alisa Bosconovitch, Lars uncovers his heritage and confronts Heihachi, Kazuya, and Jin.
Jin's True Motive: Slaying Azazel & Self-Sacrifice
Inside an ancient desert temple, Jin reveals his tragic reason for starting WWIII: Azazel could only manifest in a world consumed by negative energy. Jin summoned the monster to destroy it and wipe the Devil Gene from existence, plunging into the abyss with Azazel.
Tekken 7 (2015)
β Truth of Kazumi Hachijo & The Final Magma ClashKazuya's mother Kazumi is revealed as an assassin from the Hachijo clan sent to eradicate the Mishima threat, originating the Devil Gene. In an active volcano, Kazuya finally kills Heihachi, casting his body into the lava.
Kazumi Hachijo's Origin & Akuma's Mission
Heihachi retakes the Zaibatsu and is confronted by Akuma. Heihachi reveals the dark truth: his beloved wife Kazumi was an assassin born with the Devil Gene sent to exterminate the Mishimas. He was forced to kill her in self-defense, but Kazumi had begged Akuma to assassinate both Heihachi and Kazuya.
Satellite Laser Strike & Exposing Devil Kazuya
Heihachi fires an orbital laser destroying G Corp tower, broadcasting Kazuya's Devil transformation to the entire planet. Kazuya retaliates by shooting down the orbital satellite with his eye laser, turning world opinion into total chaos.
Final Volcano Duel & Heihachi's Ultimate Death
Amidst roaring magma, father and son wage their final battle. Despite tearing through Kazuya's Devil form with bare fists, Heihachi suffers a fatal punch to the heart. Kazuya drops Heihachi's lifeless body into the molten lava, ending 50 years of patricide.

Tekken 8 (2024)
β Father-Son Climax: Extinguishing Devil & Human FistsKazuya absorbs Azazel to become True Devil, conquering nations. Jin embraces his past and awakened Angel Jin through Jun's purification. In a stratosphere clash, both Devil Genes are permanently eradicated, ending with a pure human fist fight.
Kazuya Declares Global Rule & The 8th Tournament
With Heihachi dead, Kazuya absorbs Azazel from Zafina's seal, evolving into True Devil. Declaring an era of pure might, he hosts the 8th tournament where losing nations face immediate annihilation by G Corp forces.
International Coalition & Jun Kazama's Spirit
Lars, Lee, Victor (UN), Hwoarang, and Xiaoyu unite into an international coalition against G Corp. In Yakushima, Jin communes with his mother Jun's spirit, accepting both his sins and humanity to awaken as Angel Jin.
Stratosphere Clash, Devil Extinction & Pure Human Fists
Angel Jin and True Devil Kazuya clash in the stratosphere. Their energies collide, permanently neutralizing the Devil Gene in both men. Falling back to Earth as ordinary humans, they exchange raw, bloody punches until Jin delivers the final blow. As Jin walks into the light, Jun approaches the fallen Kazuya. (Epilogue: Heihachi survives as an amnesiac monk; secret daughter Reina unlocks the Devil Gene).
